TEPPEKI is a systemic insecticide to control western conifer seed bug, Leptoglossus occidentalis. Based on flonicamide, TEPPEKI acts by contact and ingestion in larvae, nymphs and adults. Once ingested and/or absorbed, the insect immediately stops feeding and dies in 3-5 days. Flonicamide penetrates the plant quickly.
It has acropetal system and translaminar activity, which contributes to its high efficiency and persistence of action, and resistance to washing.
It is estimated that in Portugal the insect has 2-3 generations, the postures start in late spring. It passes through 5 nymph stadiums. Applications must be made preventively, at the beginning of each generation, 120 g/ha. To protect pollinating insects do not apply during flowering periods.
